LITURGY OF THE WORD
1st READING EXODUS 22: 20-26
(Kindness to Others)
The Lord warns his people neither to oppress foreigners nor to harm widows or orphans. Consideration for the poor and needy should be a prime concern.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM Ps 18
(God our Rock)
I love you, Lord, my strength.
2nd READING THESSALONIANS 1:5c-10
(Imitating Christ)
You received the word of the Lord in spite of great hardships. You then became model Christians for your neighbors. You turned from idols to worship the true God.
THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW 22:34-40
(The Greatest Commandment)
Jesus tells the scholar of the law that the greatest of all the commandments is love-to love God with all your being and your neighbor as yourself. This sums up the whole law.

RAFFLE
We are raffling a freshly processed beef again this year. We need your help selling tickets! Please consider taking some and selling them to your family/friends/coworkers. You may pick up tickets to sell, or buy tickets, at the parish office or after mass on Sundays. You may also call Cindy Light @ 812-595-3673 to arrange a time to get tickets. Tickets are $10 each or 3/$25. We will also be having a half n half drawing at the wine tasting. You may buy tickets, for $2 each and have a chance at winning half the money taken in. If you want to sell these to family/friends, take down their name and collect $2.00/ticket. Turn the names and money into the office or to Cindy Light. We will fill out tickets for them.
Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets Food Collections
We are collecting items for Thanksgiving dinner baskets for those in need. We already have the turkeys. At the back of church, there are feathers with items we need. Choose a feather and buy what is on it for the basket. Bring your items back and put them in the box by November 15th. If you know any families in the area, in need of a Thanksgiving basket, you may turn their name into the office.
SAINT PATRICK
Betty Bowers has graciously donated her collection of Angels and Crucifixes. Proceeds will go toward a field trip for the CCD kids (per her request). The collection will be set up at the Advent luncheon on November 29th, after Mass. Collection items will be available by donation. If any are left, they will be set up at the ladies Christmas party on Sunday December 6th, at 1:00 p.m. Thank you in advance for supporting our Children's Program.

INTERCESSION PRAYERS
For the Church: That we may grow ever deeper in our love for God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and manifest that love through genuine devotion to the Gospel.
For our local parish and families: That we may live out the second greatest commandment by treating our neighbors—especially the difficult, lonely, or neglected—with the same mercy and respect we desire for ourselves.
That the parishioners of St. Patrick and American Martyrs may be
strengthened by the hope and compassion of Christ and inspired to
live out their faith through acts of mercy, love and charity, bringing
Christ’s light to those who are in need.
For the Special Intentions of: Pope Leo XIV, Archbishop Thompson, and Father Brian.
For the healing of all who are sick. Including, Pope Leo, That God will answer all prayer requests & help all who are sick.
For all who have died and for all other Mass intentions this weekend: Larry Dick, Jim Barrett, Modesta & Elvira Bao, & Sarah Lecklitner. May they share in the resurrection.
