LITURGY OF THE WORD

1st READING GENESIS 12:1-4a

God calls Abraham and promises to make him a leader of a great nation respected by all.

2nd READING 1 TIMOTHY 1:8b-10

(Design of God)

God has saved us. He has called us to a holy life. He has brought life to us through the good news of the Gospel.

 

THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW 17:1-9

(Jesus Transfigured)

Jesus is transfigured before Peter, James, and John. God acknowledges his Son and bids the disciples to listen to him. Jesus asks them not to reveal this vision after the Resurrection.


Intercession Prayers 

For the Church: that we may be transfigured more and more into the image and likeness of Christ.

 

For freedom from fear: that God will cleanse our hearts and help us to live in the freedom of the Children of God.

 

For courage: that we, like Abraham, may go forth from all that is familiar to new places into which God leads us so that we may be a blessing to others.

 

For the Special Intentions of: Pope Leo XIV, Archbishop Thompson,

and Father Brian.

 

For the healing all who are sick, including: Ramona Barger,         Ashley Lehto, Sue White, Bill & Carol Gilstrap, Raymond Herbert, Tom Bowers, Jane Zatonsky, Bea Boswell, Janice Teipen, 

Sonia Weddle, Ron Bailiff, & Martha Spicer. That God will answer all prayer requests & help all who are sick.

The Saint Patrick Fish Fry, Quilt Raffle, Silent Auction

The Saint Patrick Fish Fry is every Friday (except Good Friday) from 4:30 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. during Lent. The Fish Dinner is $11 & includes: Fish, 2 sides, a drink, & dessert. We need volunteers & Dessert donations. Dessert donations can be dropped off every Friday afternoon. The Quilt Raffle tickets are $1.00 or 6 for $ 5.00. Please see Darrel or Judy for Tickets. Tickets can also be purchased at the Parish Office. The Drawing  will be held on Friday, March 27th along with the Silent Auction.



K of C Lenten Fish Fry

Lenten Fish Fry’s will be Every Friday during Lent from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Volunteers are needed to make this fundraising event successful. Last year, a total of $9,000 was donated to our church. If you are unable to volunteer, you can also help by coming out to the K of C hall for a delicious fish dinner, spread the word, or donate a dessert. Desserts can be dropped off at any time after 2:00 p.m. each Friday at the Knights hall. The Fish Dinner Menu: Fish, Cole slaw, Hush Puppies and 2 sides. Sides choose from, Baked Potatoes, French Fries, Green Beans or Macaroni and Cheese. Dessert and a drink. All for $14.00.

Fiat Ministries Discernment Retreat
The Archdiocese of Cincinnati invites single women ages 18–30 who are seeking to do God’s will to attend an upcoming Fiat Ministries Discernment Retreat at the Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center. Fiat Ministries fosters an authentic culture of discernment for young women, encouraging them to say “yes” to God’s call. Consecrated sisters from various communities assist at the retreat by offering talks, leading small groups, sharing their testimonies, and providing a joyful witness to following Christ.
