LITURGY OF THE WORD

(Salvation in Jesus) Peter states the Jesus is

the Messiah who was crucified. Peter admonishes the people to reform and to be baptized to receive the Holy Spirit.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM 23

(Refuge in God)

The Lord is my shepherd. There is nothing I shall want.

2nd READING

1st LETTER OF SAINT PETER 2:20b-25

(Christ Our Savior)

Jesus gave an example. He suffered for us. He did no wrong; he did not answer with insults or threats. He died   for our sins. By his wounds, we are healed.

THE GOSPEL OF JOHN 10:1-10

(The Good Shepherd)

Jesus is the "Good Shepherd.” He knows the sheep and they know him. Whoever enters his sheepfold will be safe.

K of C Silver Rose Ceremony

Join with the Knights of Columbus for the annual Silver Rose ceremony to be held at Mt. St. Francis at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday May 16th. Every year, eight cast silver roses make their way across North America from Canada to Mexico. The silver roses are then presented before Our Lady of Guadalupe, on her feast day in December. On Saturday May 16, our area has the opportunity to pray before a silver rose on its pilgrimage. Please join the Knights for this unique experience.

St. Patrick Church Appeal & Ministry Fair

Steps have been taken to keep St. Patrick Church alive and functioning. From fish fries to quilt raffles to silent auctions and book sales, these have helped to bridge the gap. However, more is needed. An appeal for St. Patrick Church will no longer continue at the same time as the United Catholic Appeal in November. The St. Patrick Church Appeal and Ministry Fair will be Sunday, May 17th. This will give parishioners the opportunity to find out more about the ministries in need of parishioners’ time and talent and to pledge their financial treasure to support St. Patrick Church. Until then, please prayerfully discern how you can get more from St. Patrick Church by sharing your time, talent, and treasure.
