Divine Mercy Sunday LITURGY OF THE WORD
1st READING ACTS 2:42-47 (The Christian Fellowship) The faithful lived a common life, sharing all their goods. The Apostles worked many miracles. They prayed together and broke bread. Their number increased daily. RESPONSORIAL PSALM 118 (The Lord’s Goodness) Give thanks to the Lord for he is good, his love is everlasting.
2nd READING 1st LETTER OF SAINT PETER (Love in Practice) God, or Father, has given us a new hope in Jesus, a birthright kept in heaven. Although there may be suffering, this is at the same time a cause for rejoicing. Faith in Jesus will bring salvation. THE GOSPEL OF JOHN 20:19-31 (Living Faith) Jesus appears to the disciples, coming through locked doors. He shows them his hands and side. He greets them in peace and gives them power to forgive sins. A week later, Jesus appears directly to Thomas who now professes his belief. SCRIP orders are due on the first weekend of every month. Order forms are located at the entrances. PRAYER REQUESTS Please email any prayer requests to Kathy Karmire. (karmire54@gmail.com)
