John the Baptist recognized Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.  This is God’s Chosen One upon whom the Spirit descended and came to rest.

There will be boxes in church at the back & parking lot doors to gather donations for the clearinghouse.  You may put donations there any time.  Thank you!

 

 

American Martyrs Social Night

We still need a volunteer to host the February 14th Social Night.

 

Adoration and Mass at St. Patrick’s

 On Friday January 23rd, starting at 9:00 a.m., Father Brian will be having Adoration and Mass at St. Patrick’s on the day of the Washington DC, National March for Life.  The Rosary and other prayers will be prayed as well. EWTN will provide live coverage from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Live Action President

Lila Rose will be one of the speakers, as well as " Soul Surfer" Bethany Hamilton and several others. A pre-rally concert will start at 11:00 a.m., with the rally at noon. The Walk will begin at 1:00 p.m. starting near the Washington Monument and conclude at the  US Capital. We will have EWTN on at the church, as well as some of us who have marched in the March for Life in past years, for local perspectives. Pizza and refreshments will be served starting at 11:30 a.m.  Everyone who can, please come!

The Second Sunday in Ordinary Time Prayers

1.    For the Church, that we may be a witness to Christ's love by practicing charity and promoting justice and peace throughout the world.
 
2.    For Catholics throughout our nation, that the values of our faith may guide us to be active participants in civic life
 
3.    For the members of this community, we may find ways to help build a world of greater respect for human life and human dignity.
 
4.    For the Special Intentions of: Pope Leo XIV, Archbishop Thompson, and Father Brian.
 
5.    For the healing all who are sick, including: Thomas Bowers, Chris Jackson, Bob Stone, Jane Zatonsky, Bea Boswell, Martha Spicer, Brian Miller, & Shelly Bartoch. That God will answer all prayer requests & help all who are sick.
 
6.    For all who have died and for all Mass intentions this weekend: †Dolores Obergfell, †Vicki Ernst, †Carolyn Buckley, & †Leoncio Taitano. That those who have died may share in the resurrection.
