LITURGY OF THE WORD 1st READING SIRACH 15:15-20 (Freedom to do Good) God is all-knowing, always aware of everything that we do. All persons are free to choose to do God’s will, for God uses no force.
RESPONSORIAL PSALM 119 (Following God’s Law) “Blessed are they who follow the law of the Lord.”
2nd READING (God’s Wisdom) Out of wisdom that is beyond our imagination, God has revealed the Divinity through the Holy Spirit. The Spirit knows the inner workings of God.
THE GOSPEL OF MATTHEW 5:17-37 (Holiness) God revealed the divine law to the Israelites, and Jesus came to bring it to perfection. Those who obey God’s laws will become great in the Kingdom of God. Jesus explains the laws of God.

K of C Lenten Fish Fry Lenten Fish Fry’s will begin February 20 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus hall. Volunteers are needed to make this fundraising event successful. Last year, a total of $9,000 was donated to our church. If you are unable to volunteer, you can also help by coming out to the K of C hall for a delicious fish dinner, spread the word, or donate a dessert. Desserts can be dropped off at any time after 2:00 p.m. each Friday at the Knights hall.
